Using IrishSavings's Online Banking for joint accounts

You can both use IrishSavings's Online Banking, as long as you have both registered separately for IrishSavings's Online Banking and each have your own username.

Access codes

You will receive a letter with your unique access code within seven days of registering for the online service. You will need this code together with your chosen username to activate your account. Your account must be activated before you can log in to IrishSavings's Online Banking.

Not received your access code?

If you haven’t received your access code within seven days of registering for IrishSavings's Online Banking, please contact us.

Locked out of IrishSavings's Online Banking?

Simply follow the link from the log in page for ‘Forgotten your log in details’, or ‘Is your access suspended?’. You’ll then be given instructions on how to access to your account.

Forgotten your username/password or security details?

All you need to do is follow the link from the log in page for ‘Forgotten your log in details’, or ‘Is your access suspended?’. You’ll then be given instructions on how to find out your username/password or security details.

Sort code not appearing in the dropdown box?

If your sort code does not appear on the dropdown box, please check it is a valid IrishSavings's sort code.

If you’re calling about your partner’s account

To comply with customer confidentiality requirements, we can only discuss accounts or online registration with the account holder unless they have given you authority by registering a valid Power of Attorney Document with IrishSavings's Finance.

Viewing your account

To keep track of your IrishSavings Savings or your IrishSavings's Credit Card transactions, here’s how to get the complete picture when viewing your accounts online.

Account summary

This page shows all the accounts that you’ve chosen to work with online, and provides an at-a-glance view of your balances.

If you have another IrishSavings Savings account or a IrishSavings's Credit Card that you would like to work with online, click ‘Add an Account’. Alternatively, click ‘Remove an Account’ from your online view.

You’ll see each of your accounts, along with an 'options' dropdown menu – you can use this to access all your account management tools, allowing you to make payments, transfer money, view your statements, and so on.

What can I view online?

  • View savings transactions

This page shows all the transactions made on your savings account in the past 90 days.

You can use the ‘previous page’ and ‘next page’ buttons at the bottom of the page to browse through all your transactions.

You can choose which transactions you want displayed using the ‘Filter by’ dropdown menu.

  • View your credit card summary

This page provides an overview of your IrishSavings's Credit Card account.

  • Your IrishSavings's Credit Card statement

Here you can see your last card statement. Use the ‘previous page’ and ‘next page’ buttons at the bottom of the page to browse through all the transactions in this statement. You can use the ‘previous statement’ button to look at statements for previous months.

  • Recent transactions

Use this page to review all the transactions made on your IrishSavings's Credit Card since your last statement.

  • Opened an account but can’t view it?

In some cases, we will need to see some identification before we can let you use your new Internet Saver account. All financial institutions are required by law to identify customers when new accounts are opened.

  • Previous Page and Next Page buttons

With these buttons you can view earlier or recent transactions (if applicable) in your statement.

  • Previous Statement and Next Statement buttons

These buttons let you view any previous statements up to your most recent statement.

Making changes to your online account

Moved house or changed your email address? Make changes to your account without needing to pick up the phone.

Changing your username

  1. Log in and select ‘Username’ from the make changes menu on the right-hand side of your screen.
  2. You will then be asked to enter your current username and then a new one.
  3. Once this has been changed, you can start to use your new username straight away.

Changing your password

  1. Log in and select ‘Password’ from the make changes menu on the right-hand side of your screen.
  2. You will then be asked to enter your current password and then a new one.
  3. Once this has been changed, you can start to use your new password straight away.

Changing your email address

  1. Log in and select ‘Email address’ from the ‘Make changes’ menu on the right-hand side of your screen.
  2. You will then be asked to enter your current email address and then a new one.
  3. Once this has been changed, you can start to use your new email address straight away.

It’s important you let us know as soon as possible that your email address has changed. If you ever forget your password we can get you back online more quickly if we know your current email address.

Changing your address

  1. Enter your house number or name and your new post code, and using the Royal Mail Postal Address File, we’ll automatically fill in the rest of your address for you.
  2. If your details are not recognised or are incorrect, you can manually enter your full address.
  3. Any changes you make to your address online will be carried out within seven working days and will apply to any IrishSavings's Savings account or your IrishSavings's Credit Card.

Making payments

This feature lets you make a direct payment from your Savings account to one of two possible accounts:

  • Your IrishSavings Credit Card (if you have one)
  • One other nominated account (this can be a third party bank account)

Inter account transfer

Use this tool to move money from one of your IrishSavings's Savings account to another.

Account transfers

Inter account transfers are normally treated as arriving in your account straightaway, except when they are made after 8pm or on a non bank working day. They will be treated as arriving in your account the next bank working day.

Trying to transfer funds but your account is unavailable?

  1. Just select ‘Add an account’ from your accounts summary screen.
  2. You will then be taken to the ‘Add products to accounts summary’ screen where you can add your accounts online.
  3. These will be displayed the next time you view your accounts summary.

Can’t select your IrishSavings's Credit Card account?

You can make a payment to your IrishSavings's Credit Card in two ways:

  1. Select your savings account and make a payment to your IrishSavings's Credit Card using the ‘Make a payment’ option.
  2. Select your IrishSavings's Credit Card and make a payment to your IrishSavings's Credit Card using a Switch or a Delta Debit card through the ‘Make a payment’ option.

Managing your credit card online

You can you manage your IrishSavings Credit Card online, you'll have access to the full range of online card services.

You'll be able to:

  • View your last statement and balance
  • View recent transactions, which you'll see on your next statement.
  • Pay your monthly card statement online
  • Request a new card limit (subject to status):
  • Transfer balances from other credit or store cards
  • Apply to set up additional cardholders. Note that additional card holders must be an immediate family member, over 18 and living at home with the main cardholder
  • Set up a direct debit payment to automatically pay the minimum or full amount each month
  • Request a PIN reminder online: we'll then send this to you by post

Please note, we will not consider increases within the first 12 months of account opening nor within 12 months of a previous request. We will make checks to review your ability to repay before considering any increase.

Should you wish to decrease your credit limit we can only do this over the telephone, therefore please contact customer services.
